Living without certainty

On inherent emptiness and the irony of progress.

“Do you remember ten years ago when I was over-schooled and undervalued?”

On the phone with a dear sister in an uncomfortable growth spurt. She’s secured a long-awaited book contract, finished said book, and is now being rejected for certain promotional opportunities. Being turned down is hard for humans.

She needs a loving mindset overhaul. I’m proud of her for asking.

“What do I need to practice when these rejections come in?” An earnest ask.
