Josine is so wise and brave here letting go of certain ideas of home and re-imagining them in ways that accomodate a painful reality and recall of uprooting, wandering, loss.

Thanks to you both for this. 💫

Josine, thank you for bravely sharing your story and I look forward to reading your book. These challenges have made you who you are today, a beautiful, wise, resilient young woman.

In regards to 'home', I think it all starts with feeling in home in my body - moving and flowing with each day as easefully as possible, no matter what is happening. And feeling free to be all who I am, not carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. Laughing, resting, and finding quiet.

I'm so grateful for the mentors in my life, including you, Elena, who have shown that quiet, tender, easeful steps forward are the right way. Thank you ✨

What an incredibly moving story. Thank you. It feels as though Josine has taken a mantra of “keep moving” to heart and she is now seeing the world and all its goodness along the way. I hope that goodness continues to return to her, and to her family. Thank you both for this glimpse into a dark time and experience, as well as the light which emanates from it through Josine.

Lovely to see you in real life and in this post this week, Elena! Feels like hitting two parts of a trifecta ; ) Now just a cup of tea or walk and we'll get all three!

I can just imagine the beauty of being at San I as the deer dances start, have done that in the past and am always so moved by the heart and soul of these land-based people who have taken care of this place we live since time immemorial.

"What and where is home?" has been a guiding question of my life. I resonate very much with the notion that home is a state of consciousness, even as an actual place on this earth is deeply important as well. It's a paradox I love to dive into...

I look forward to watching the video conversation with Josine, and a blessed new year to you.
